Our Comitment to Privacy
The privacy of personal information is important to BTC Solutions ("autoVHC," "we" or "us"). As part of our commitment to the privacy of personal information, we provide this privacy policy (this "Privacy Policy") explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your personal information is collected and used within the autoVHC Software application (the "Application"). To make this Privacy Policy easy to find, we make it available via the Application and on our website (http://www.b-t-c.co.uk/).
This Application is offered to you as part of a subscription to the applicable autoVHC Software, therefore the use of the Application is subject to the terms of the applicable subscription agreement. The privacy practices set forth in this Privacy Policy are for the Application only. Other autoVHC Software applications, websites, or services may have different practices. If you visit or otherwise use these or any other (whether or not affiliated with autoVHC) Software applications, websites, or services, please review the privacy policies posted at those sites.
The Usage Data and Personal Information We Collect
Some of the Application's features may collect information tracking your use of the Application including: your log-in and log outs, duration of use, and actions completed within the Application.
We also may collect your Customer’s name.
The Way We Use Usage Data and Personal Information
We may disclose information collected about your use of the Application to the subscriber of the applicable autoVHC Software. Additionally, Customer’s name may also be shared with the subscriber of the applicable autoVHC Software.
We will not use or share your personal information or your Customer’s personal information obtained through the Application in ways unrelated to the ones described above without first providing you an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information to third parties in the following circumstances:
— We may disclose personal information in response to legal process (for example, in response to a court order, subpoena or a law enforcement agency's request) or if we believe it appropriate in order to protect the rights, property or safety of the Application, its users, or others.
— To use such personal information as permitted in this Privacy Policy, especially as permitted in the "The Way We Use Personal Information" section.
Transfer of Personal Information outside the European Economic Area
The Application does not accesses servers based outside of the European Economic Area
The Way We Use Non-Personal Information
Without any limitation, we use non-personal information and aggregate information to better design, debug, and improve the functionality of the Application and gather information for product management and development at autoVHC. For example, we may tell our sales and marketing staff that a certain dealer performed X number of vehicle health checks through the Application or that the Application was downloaded Y times during a particular time period, but we would not disclose any personal information or data. This aggregate information may also be shared with autoVHC's affiliates and independent dealers.
Information regarding your Customer’s vehicle, including registration, VIN, Model, mileage, and repair information, may be collected through this Application. This information may be collected by requesting access to your device’s camera and/or gallery when you have decided to use those features within the Application. Vehicle data and aggregate information that has been cleansed of any personally identifying information may be shared with OEM’s. For example, we may tell a particular OEM that X number of a certain repair occurred as a result of health checks performed on Y Model vehicle with Z mileage.
Our Commitment to Security of Information
We take security seriously and take numerous precautions to protect the security of personal information. Personal information resides on a secure server that only selected personnel and contractors have access to. We encrypt personal information to ensure that such information is safe as it is transmitted to us.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet or any wireless network is never completely secure. Although we employ commercially reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted to or from the Application. We are not responsible for the actions of any third parties that may receive your information or data. Any transmission of information, including personal information, is at your own risk.
Customer Service
We may collect your email address and other contact information you provide when you contact our customer service group and we may use that email address to contact you about your experience with the Application.
Cookies
This Application does not use Cookies. Any associated autoVHC Software and websites are subject to their own Cookies Policies, which can be reviewed at those websites.
Push Notifications
We may occasionally send you push notifications through the Application to send you service-related notifications that may be of importance to you. You may at any time opt-out from receiving these types of communications by turning them off at the device level through your settings and preferences.
International Transfer
We may transfer information that we collect about you to affiliated entities, or to other third parties across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. Please note that these countries and jurisdictions may not have the same data protection laws as your own jurisdiction, and you consent to the transfer of information to the U.S. and the use and disclosure of information about you, including personal information, as described in this Privacy Policy.
Our Policy Regarding Children
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to use the Application. If you are under 13, please do not send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No person under the age of 13 may provide any personal information. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes we will notify you through the Application prior to the change becoming effective. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy for the latest information on our privacy practices.
